Christian Counseling

Available Upon Request

Just because an individual is a Christian does not mean they are exempt from adverse life experiences. For example, despite being a Christian, sometimes individuals can experience depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem issues, stress, fear, and anger. Christian counseling can help alleviate these symptoms.

Christian counseling incorporates the individual's faith and the principles of psychology to improve individuals' and couples' mental health and well-being. Christian counseling uses a biblical view of personhood and recognizes that the individual is made in the image of God. However, living in a broken world can cause individuals to need assistance navigating the feelings and emotions that come with life. Christian counseling engages the individual in various counseling methods, faith, and biblical principles. It differs from a secular approach in that Christian counseling often includes prayer, scripture, affirmation, and bible study to address issues. Christian counseling focuses on spiritual health, mental health, and a person's relationship with God in order to replace mental health issues, emotional distress, and personal problems with increased self-worth and spiritual fulfillment.

“Hope is not defined by the absence of hardship. Rather, hope is found in God’s grace in the midst of hardship. Hope is found in his promise to give us a future.”
