Nichole Schumacher | MA, MFT - Associate

My name is Nichole Schumacher. I am originally from Eugene and have recently moved back after living in Wyoming for many years. One of my greatest pleasures in life is being married to my amazing husband for 28 years. I have been blessed with three adult children and one son-in-law. I am a Christian, and my faith is the foundation of my life. In addition to working at True Life Restorative, my husband and I are youth pastors at our church. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, camping, kayaking, reading, taking walks on the beach, and hanging out with our youth teens. I have worked with clients from a variety of backgrounds and faiths. So, you can trust I respect your beliefs, lifestyle, and practices. Genuine, unconditional love and acceptance of others is my core value.

I have been working in the field of mental health since 2017. In 2022, I opened my private practice, True Life Restorative, in order to come alongside others and help give back to them a sense of freedom and a life restored. In 2019, prior to working in private practice, I moved to Eugene and worked as a therapist for another practice in Lane County. Preceding my move to Eugene, I provided counseling services to the community, including students, parents, and teachers, at Bridges to School Success in Redding, California. Prior to Bridges I worked in a marriage ministry as both an administrative assistant and providing counseling through teaching marriage classes in a group setting. Before 2017, I mentored teens as a Young Life leader for 3 years and worked as a substitute teacher and administrative assistant for 15 years in a small Wyoming town.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in the State of Oregon, license #R6522. I abide by the rules and ethics set forth by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Simpson University. I am SPR trained for those coping with post-disaster stress and adversity. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am currently working toward certification. I am currently a state-registered associate working toward licensure being supervised by Rebecca Fuller. I look forward to coming alongside you on your journey to freedom, health, and wholeness where you can live a life restored.
